Just in, IGUS bushings for Fox RC4s, Rs, DHXs, RS Vivids and Cane Creek DBs. Better than Fox's white plastic bushings. These blacks ones have a higher load rating (50%), higher temp rating and self lubricating.

Feels like butter from day 1. :)

BTW, if anyone is interested in complete kits, almost all shocks use 1/2x1/2 DU bushings.

Here are complete kits from Fox which includes shafts, spacers and bushings. I know for a fact that they are IGUS, just slightly cheaper bushings. Take measurements and find the right ones for your bike. Theyre good value.

Why did I bother buying these from IGUS? Saw the ebay units. Am not sure what they were.

I also already own hardware described below. I took a chance that they worked better with these low friction bushings. I may be deluded, but I think they do.

I just sold a set to sircrashalot, at cost. A rep at IGUS assured me that these will last longer before they need replacement. Being that I've not personally tested them, I won't be offering these until I get a few rides on them myself and feedback from sircrashalot.

If they work out, they'll be a low cost solution.

Just to be clear......these are an exact one-for -one replacement for a DU bushing? No other parts required for the upgrade?

yes they are. I just replaced the du and used my old reducers. The only odd thing about these that I observed is that they are loose on the shaft when you get them. Almost a whole mil in diameter. Then after you press them in, they shrink to size. I have the fox units, and they are not like that. The Fox plastic bushes are installed by hand. These need a bearing press.

Any comparison to these and the needle bearing ones you can get from Enduro Fork Seals?

havent tried those. I am of the opinion that bearings are not the best for non-rotating and narrow angle pivoting applications. I've also heard some clicking issues with the needle bearings which scares me away form them. In any case, these cost ah lot less, no maintenance and disposable. I used a tool from IGUS that said about 240 hours of service life for 726 psi max plus shock surface load, which is the max for enduro suspension bearings.

Which Igus material is it? I bought a few from them directly awhile back but I think I picked the wrong series.

Short update. Ive taken the bushings on 2 DH trips. Nothing is conclusive at this point. No noticeable effect while riding. The shock does move freely on the bushings, when off the bike, after break in. The real test is longevity. If they last a season, then I'd say theyre a good alternative to bronze bushings.
