OK checked out the big boy route today, looks to be in good but loose condition from up top, lots fast flowy with some short small uphills,

Singletrack off the side of skyline main road looks decent and fun as well

If we dont have a key to the beeks gate we will need a big push to get to the upper troy lee (pm for details)

WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT OUR SHUTTLE SITUATION
if you goole earth skyline and follow main divide past beeks you can find the trailhead

well, I'm in as of now. No clue on shuttle capability right now. I don't have a good vehicle for it, but If needed I could make do depending on how many people we have. If I had to, I could probably fit 3-4 bikes+people in my RSX with them hanging out the back, and a lot more in my sequoia (both would probably mean removing a few wheels).

How would the shuttling work? everyone meet at the bottom, drive a car up with everyone in it, ride down, take a different car, go up, ride down, take a diff car etc?

we could always take more than one car for a run to make things a bit more comfortable for the ride up, but :?:

if there's someplace we can park up top, that'd probably work well. then just have the last person bring everyone to their cars.

I can shuttle us with my 2x4 Toyata pickup. If the fire road is steep and loose I'm not sure we can make it to the top. Do you guys think we'll be fine? How many are going?

2x4 would work the best, its a no go on the rsx, theres just foreroad up top so its not really somewhere you can park your car and leave it, we can always ride somewhere else if its going to be to difficult

    how about..
Trip 1: Rvillanuev1 drive us and the biike up to the top.
Trip 2: Take the Sequioia up with bikes and 1 car to take us up.
After that we get a car up to pick up the shuttle trucks back down,

Then maybe we can repeat that. again.

Skyline is one of the smoothest fireroads up the mountain (at least the last few times I've been out there it was). If we have a good shuttle vehicle we should just take turns driving it and everyone chip in for gas for the vehicle and buy the owner lunch. I don't mind sitting in back if it's a P/U truck. I have truck but the suspension is a little screwed up. We can use it if we have to, but it will be slow going with it.

sequioia wont make it past beeks its too wide, unless someone has or can get the key, if we have the key were set, otherwise its an hour push from beeks

I can drive stick all day long ;)

I'd be fine with just taking turns. probably the easiest way to do stuff, and fastest.

I'd definitely pitch in on some tacos for rvillanuev1 if he let us use his truck  will everyone fit in it though? or will we need to get creative and have people skitching off the back

we can just sit in the back, if it has a hitch we could bring a hitch rack for extra room, but tailgate pad and us should fit in the cab and in the back

We need to throw a shovel int he truck ust in case, its about a 20minute shuttle drive up, should be a little longer down unless where bombing

+1 for where exactly we're meeting. you say theres a parking lot on the left off of foothill, but I don't see one anywhere on google maps.

$5-10 per person should cover gas, since there's like 6 of us

perhaps we should ask around the SSDHC and see if anyone has a key. I think Denmo said she had a key to at least the lower gate :?:
