i have to throw in roach knee pads, i just bought i pair friday and i already love them. definately worth it. i have big legs so fit has always been trouble but these didnt slide and still breathed. I also rammed them into a nice pointy rock and they took it, well got scratched but saved me from a painful shin

So....... I seem to fall down a lot and decided to look into this thread for some advice to stop feeding into my orthopedic surgeon's Porsche collection.

Great advice. May need to update my current pads.

    1) Pressure Suit (AM)
    2) Assault Suit (DH/FR)
    3) my XC pads

I figured this was a good place to insert a " thank you" to Denmo for hooking me up with some good armor at an even better price.

slapshotz and i had a short discussion about this last night. its really about personal preferance. i feel really uncomfortable wearing anything more than a ff helmet. i swear anytime i wear pads i fall.

i could have used a chest protector or something like the 661 core saver in mammoth.. i hit a jump and found gary laying on the ground from a crash and i had no option but to land on him  i flew off the bike and i landed on a tree stump... said stump hit my sternum pretty hard and it was sore for at least a few months after that... i am now thinking about getting the 661 core saver since i hate wearing arm armor

they also redesigned it to work with neck braces like the Leatt system

Yep - Good choice. I will be purchasing an 09 when they have them in stock (Word from 661 is that they'll have them on 12/22)

I have to figure out the sizing though unfortunately. Might just buy two and return the one that doesn't fit.

    661 Sizing chart

PRESSURE SUITS - With tape level, measure around the fullest part of the chest, just under the arms and around the shoulder blades.

Thats only Helmets and Gloves

I know finding armor with arms was a PIA. They were either to short, to tight in arms, to big in chest. I ended up trying on just about everything out there before goind with Rock Gardn and removing forearm protection.

I ended up with the full body one with the removable forearms. I liked that one too along with the Race Face one. But the full body was best deal so I went with that

I love my Coresaver. Its extremely comfortable and doesn't seem as restricting as my Assault suit or the Trailstar I had.

It does lack in major shoulder protection, but thats why its so damn comfortable.

I figured out how to ride a bike without crashing much. As a result, I never learned to crash, and when I crash, I usually end up at the hospital.

Now I wear one of the CTi wrist braces, and I will soon be getting one of the Leatt neck braces (standard Club model, not the carbon one shown. I've already fractured my neck once, and don't want to do that again!
