    That's weird. We just rode Chilao yesterday. Even had the Ranger drive by twice and said "hello". This is my second ride there since it re-opened.

    Seriously? Where did you start? Was the ranger an old lady with long hair? We tried starting at Charlton Flats.

    Does any of that description cover the West end of Rincon-Redbox road near Mount Wilson? I've ridden from Monrovia to Newcomb recently, but ducked down into Chantry on the Gabrielino Trail with the mild feeling I wasn't supposed to be there. Beautiful ride. The pack station owner at Chantry told me I was probably OK since there's no closure sign at the top (even though she admits there's one at the bottom). Very ambigous since no markings at all along the ridge line anywhere that I can see.
