The weather will be miserable- winds at 45mph.

They got lucky on the weather. NWS says Sunday's high 34, slight chance of snow. :)

    I liked February racing better.

Would anyone happen to have a link to a live stream of today's stage? Thanks!

F'ng hell...what's with this delay to 2PM on the live video feed off the web!!?? Come home to this?

What's going on out there? Web guys at the race can't even agree on who's in the break. Where are the GC guys like Levi, Rogers and DZ??

Wow, we got up to Islip just in time to see the race go by a bit after 12 noon. Just to see what it's like, we headed up to Dawson. The number of folks watching up there was astounding. As we climbed, group after group passed us coming down.

How many people are in SC Velo anyway? I think I counted 1.7 million of their jerseys!

“That’s all you can do, man,” Horner said. “A lot of the stages are hard but none of them are hard enough. That was a big ring climb pretty much, except for the very start.”

Haha, I love Horner. He's such a badass. Anyone knock AC off in the big ring lately?

I saw that. What surprised me, however, was that someone took a break from hating on Floyd to write 'Versus Sucks' in chalk.

Haha probably because they cut off the finish at one of the stages to show hockey!

I'm going to watch the TT in LA today, can't wait!

Funny I rode up there with two guys and they were in SC Velo kits. They didn't know any others wearing them though??? This was freekin amazing. A real highlight. I got to within inches of the riders. One thing that stood out most was how young most of the riders were. I don't think some even had to shave. A real cougars paradise! My riding group continued on up to Crestline but I'm just starting to get my climbing legs back. I seen a lot of folks I knew out there and the OTB crew was out in force. We all had a great time and I was astounded to how many people were lining the roads for miles and miles watching them go by. I really believe there's a lot more people who ride bikes then watch rodeo. Why can't Versus get it right? My kids told me I made it on TV but I missed it and it didn't record. Bummer.

Yea super day, wind was nice and warm. Everyone was in a great mood on the roads. Yea a bit of floyd outbursts by people crusing keystone lights in wrightwood. Debated stoping but I've heard rumors of keystone giving people gerardia.

It did sorta feel like a wonderland with all the bikes out there, incredible.

I just got home. We set up camp at the 150M mark and what an exciting finish. I thought the whole Big Bear set up was first class (but I'm prejudiced). I don't know about the rest of the course, but the finish line had maybe 5K lining Summit Blvd - good stuff. I've been to a LOT of sporting venues and this was BY FAR the healthiest, best looking crowd I've ever seen - yep, better than the eye candy at the Long Beach Grand Prix.

OC Rider - we were downhill of the big remote TV screen right by the VS camera man. If you saw the red, Kawasaki Mule stuck in the rocks - that was my father in-law...#-o

It did sorta feel like a wonderland with all the bikes out there, incredible. - How true. We came back from our MTB ride and cruised through town. I'd say there was a least 10 bikes for every car we saw. I even got a few roadies to say HI back to me.;)
