After using a Joplin for about 18 months I've decided to try something with no set back and more drop. The question is, have the Reverb or the KS products improved their dependability or am I stuck with the Gravity Dropper and it's funky looking bellows and 90 degree cable exit. What do you guys and gals say?
    Thanks

I've had the Reverb since it was released and, other than having to bleed it once, have had zero problems with it.

19 mos on a KS i900, 16 mos on a Gravity Dropper - no problem on either.

But my next one will have the cable coming from the bottom of the past (like the GD) and not from the top of the seat. When lowered the cable sticks out a bit on the KS, it needs to have freedom to move, and hits my leg when I'm behind the seat.

Have a few posts with varying success.

Joplin - ~1 yr. blew up twice, leaks, air pockets so the seat floats up. Grade: F
Gravity droppers (non turbo): owned 2. ~2 years on one, works great, just ugly. Had one cable actuator assembly become un-epoxied from the post. Grade: A-
Specialized command post: 1.5 yrs. STill kicking ass. The lever is a little wonky and uses a special cable. Seat clamp is sticky. Grade: B+
KS 150mm post: ~3 months. still going strong. no leaks. Tends to stick in down position every once in a while. Seat clamp could be better Grade:B

I'm going to respectfully say that if it can withstand the "demands" that Chewy puts on it it will work for me!
    Thanks Aaron

KS i900r for 13 months. Just a coulpe minor issues. At first could not get the seatclamp tight enough,( seatrails would slide back) but with leverage on an allen wrench got it tight. Does stick down sometimes at first activation but after bumping once it will move accordingly throughout the rest of the ride. No other problems. Great post.

So out of all that, plus general considerations of look, feel, design, and price, which would you buy if you needed one today?
    Does the GD win out?

Gravity Dropper (3" classic with remote)... 4+ years, and still going strong. I've replaced the cable and housing about 6 times in that four years, pulled it apart to clean and lube it twice. It's simple and easy to service.

2 GD's 5+ yrs. (4-2-1 and a 0-3) Most of my riding crew has had issues with all the other suspects. The LBS's and the product mfrs warranties have all been great but still a hassle...the pain watching the fiddling, tightening, unplanned drops and nut slaps leads to one conclusion. KISS - keep it simple stupid.

I don't recommend the Turbo. They only designed it that way so it can convert to a lever and vise versa, the cable kinks way too easily at that angle. The original is still the best.

I've been running the reverb for around 6 months, and no complaints from me. any problems I've heard of people having can be easily solved with a bleed. it's not that bad (they give you everything you need with the post after all). it is easily the best remote on the market IMO. simple, easy to use, solid, decidedly non-janky. most of the others can't really claim all of those...

Just over 18 months and almost 5200 miles on my Specialized command post, only issue I've had was the cable tightening up but a shot of WD40 took care of that.

+1 on this comment from above from Chewyeti:

I've had about the same experience. It works well and is reliable, and I'm happy with it but it isn't perfect.
