Did a search on "Ranch at Lake Elizabeth" and got this:

Lake Elizabeth Golf & Ranch Club
    42505 Ranch Club Road
Lake Elizabeth, CA 93532 tel. 661-347-0792

Here's a picture of their "Phase 1 Development". Maybe it never got finished?

Sounds fun! Looks like it was a 9 hole course till it became an 18 hole in 89 or 98, cant remember. Think the rv spots were built for the golfing retirees. Hopefully theres tenting sites. Check this history on the place

Damn, I completely forgot about this this morning. I was just down the street from there to have the knee worked on and if I was not so dang high from the drugs after I would have had the Mrs drive me on up to check it out.

Today would be a prime work day.

    Dear concerned citizen,

thank you for your interest in Lake Elizibeth Bike Park.

We regret to inform you that we recently changed management and are now managed by the IRC.

As such we have forbidden any activities involving having any fun of any kind.

Thank you for your interest and see you on the trails.

I don't get it. How can SoCal not have a bike park??? What is the percentage of people at Mammoth in the summer from Socal? I'll bet it's over 50%. How can someone in SoCal not want to capture that market????

Ask the owner at Big Bear. He's vowed to never have dh bikes there again.
We all have too many lawyers here in El Lay.

Why is everyone writing it off just because an email didn't get a response?

I don't get to respond to every email I receive... and I know how long it takes to get a project like this going. Hopefully, the fact that it's on private land will make it happen much faster than a public land project. That could mean 18 months instead of 4 years.

This was just announced two months ago. I want to see it happen as much as anybody, and I'm not giving up on it after two months!

I do not believe this is dead yet. My sources say this project is still alive.
