Matt and John ran a great season - big up's to their Staff. First season for me was off the Hook

Track lay outs, Family nights, tons of good people. Drinks and food, shop sponsor nights, with great goodies give away. All the training, miles, health problems that came along was all well spent. We can only hope, winter season may rise from this and lets have good time rolling again - for i cant wait for next season...

Thanks for the great memories to Everyone and my Team for all the support. Big Props To Jake From MVP for the extra push and help...

I finally made it out and claimed 3rd in B2. I had fun and "I'll be bawk."

Props to the organizers and participants. Really was a nice feel out there.

I've been fortunate enough to race in 49 of the 50 events, with only 1 DNF.

What's great about this series is that it introduces you to the camaraderie that comes with racing, putting out an effort that you (or even those who are watching) didn't think you had in you.

Do the same on a trail ride, and inevitably, you're a d-bag. Follow the rules of racing, and although the adrenaline may get the best of you during the race, more often than not, everyone understands its the heat of the moment, and shares a tasty beverage.

My wife never thought she would race. She tried the last few races of the series and found a competitive streak...during the race. But at the end of it all, she, as with most of us, was pushing her(we) limits moreso than she(we) otherwise might have, and discovering something new.

Does it mean that she's going to rip it up in other races? Who knows.

What I do know is that for 12 Tuesdays a year, over 400 people who would otherwise prefer not to ride if those 400+ people were all in Aliso, Whiting, the Oaks, El Moro, etc. at one time, come together to have fun. That's pretty cool.

Time for another post-race pint, and some sleep.

My son and I had a great time again tonight. There were a lot more kids racing in the 6-8 group tonight. My son is definitely hooked on MTB and racing and wants to come back for more next year.

I didn't sign up for my race for tonight until 10 mins before 6PM. I planned to race in the finale but hurt my back while doing housework over the weekend and felt soreness in my lower back since Sunday night. I was concern about my condition and contemplated a lot about racing or not. I took couple of ibuprofen before I left the house this afternoon and pre-rode part of the course with my son. I also rode with my son for his race and felt good so decided to sign up at the last moment. I actually felt strong and did pretty well in my first lap. In my second lap, I crashed at the tight twist and turn section after the short steep down near the swamp area. I quickly jumped back on my bike and tried to recover my time and position. I lost at least 30 seconds from the crash and also lost some of my momentum. I just kept on pedaling and stay focus on finish the race and did not even bother to check on my wound. I ended up finished 39th place which is okay but I am sure my crash cost me a few positions there.

I want to thank you the organizers and sponsors for a fun and great year of racing at Irvine Lake. Dino is always there and he sure cheered me up every time I rode by. Also good to see some friends there racing and having a good time out there. Look forward to another great season at OTH next year!

    Cheers,

This was mine and my daughter, Ava's, first OTH season and we had a blast. Big thanks to the organizers, volunteers, and other racers for making this such a fun summer event. We always looked forward to Tuesday nights. Ava got another first place tonight, I didn't fare as well. The one time I opted to not carry a spare tube and tools, I get a flat halfway into my second lap. Ugh! Well, I got to have my beer and food earlier than usual.

Ava had a great first season in Girls 6-8

I think I have been to about 46 out of the 50, and tonight was one of the most rewarding for me.. To see my son win the overall in his class and to See Victor and DJ go 1 and 3 in mens expert was a great felling for me. To top it off watching "THE NEW WARREN" get the Oakley award I was blown away! Plus all of the other FB and BP guys and gals standing tall and proud on the podium (9 total) just made for the perfect night..

The crew was done with all awards by 9:15 and everyone seemed to be very happy with all the top prizes.. Lot's of good swag in the bags...I will have to say it was a very fast 12 weeks and I can't believe it is all over again till next year.. What are we going to do on Tuesday Nights???

Here are a few of my photos from tonight I hope you enjoy and Thanks to all the people that helped support FB and BP bikes you helped make it a great success!

Last night was a blast. Those guys put on a great race every week and I'm now waiting until next year. OTH was my first experience racing and I couldn't have picked a better way to start.

I really enjoyed the course last night and had my best finish of the three races I did n the series. I think the biggest thing I gained from the series was where I need to improve to make next year even better.

Again, thanks to all the organizers and volunteers that pull this event off week after week!

So true! I was so happy to share that with you, brother. On another note, thanks for all the great photos and good laughs out there.

Last night was my first attempt in the Sport division (S3). Overall I was happy with my race since I didn't really push hard at all during the race. I was just trying to get a feel for the sport race. It was a little demoralizing to be passed by sooooo many riders, but after it was all said and done, I still had a blast and it was my favorite race of the season. Oh, and I accomplished my goal of not finishing DFL!

Another great season is in the books. Like so many others, I made a lot of new friends and had a total blast battling with everyone all year. The S2 class seemed to be evenly matched as everyone had their great races along with a few bad ones.

I ended up flatting on the first lap last night so I took it as a drop round. I did fix it and cruise around for 3 laps though. :)

Flat tire the new Sandbagging? lol..................... Excellent effort, we all move up. I almost had the Win, really close. Every time i caught up, i crashed. On another note, people would disappear fairly quick - mid first lap.

You got a nice start! I was hoping the footage would catch the crash I was involved in just behind you in the jungle. A guy wearing a Path jersey slid out right in front of me and I had absolutely nowhere to go and ran over his bike. My knee somehow ended up tangled in his frame as I went down and am super lucky I did not tear up my knee. Just a pretty bad bruise. I was hoping to see the crash on your video because it was a blur and happened so fast. Oh, to the guys that moaned and were pissy about me being strewn about in the jungle, trust me I didn't want to be there so next time take a chill pill and thank me for politely giving up my spot so you can go ahead of me. See y'all next year, I had a blast racing for the first time this year and met some great folks.
