i can just hear Warner screaming "LOOK AT THE TIMMMMMEEEEEEE!" in my head looking at that...11.7 seconds up over 2nd place? really??? that kinda of win is almost as amazing as Gwin winning 5 in a season...

    .
Gwin was down 1 second at I believe the 2nd split then crashed. It would have been much closer and maybe a win. I got the ppv and it was close.

That's the sickest time differential I've ever seen. Hart has been a wildman this season so he earned it. Sounds like Gwin may have hit the same level, but 12 seconds over 2nd? That's nuts. Thanks E for posting all season. Looking forward to playing make believe in the winter series.

Hart was insane, and somehow kept it upright the whole run even with a few close calls. Gwin was right there after split one but slid to far in one corner and front wheel dropped off side of cliff and he got tangled in netting.

It seemed a lot went with a slightly cautious approach since at the time a good run staying on bike was going to get you a good time.

I think even more impressive but not seen was brosman who had second fastest run in what looked to be much worse conditions.

It was a tuff day race for a few pros

    Race Day race run:
    Gee Atherton falls/crashed twice
Josh Bryceland crashes very hard otb
Sam Hill comes to a stop on a bad line choice looses time
    AAron Gwin crash

    Practice
    Gee Crashes hard hits head
Cam Cole crashes hard, breaks arm, get surgery and plates

Thats racing, its a fine line between pulling off a good result by going dangerously fast and possibally going down on the very steep and slippery muddy Champery course. The last 10 guys all rode in terrible wet raining conditions with tons of mud.

Saying this, Danny Harts run was insane fast at the edge the whole time.

Thanks for posting the video clips. I think Gwin got stuck in the netting for about 20.423 seconds... Ridiculous run by Hart - how those guys can even ride those conditions much less let it run is beyond my comprehension.

The weather played a HUGE role in the outcome of this race. As bad as the conditions were for Hart they were worse for Gwin and those that came later.
