Another crazy fast run by Gwin, nobody is even close this year. Amazing! I loving seeing Stevie Smith in 4th too. Nice to see some real solid North American riders winning and helping fill out that podium this year.

Great video from Mt. St. Anne. Thanks. Stunning results from our boy Aaron. There're 200 guys out there at a ridiculous level of skill and bravery, and he's beating them like they are Expert class at Fontana. Also great to see Peaty near the top again. He's 15 years older than most guys out there.

Congrats to Aaron Gwin 2011 World Cup Series Champion! Minaar & Atherton rode faster today but the overall title Champ hails from the USA & from the IE. ;)

All I have to say is that it's been awhile since I've been completely speechless watching a world cup race. that was seriously fantastic.

the top 5 for this race was some of the best racing I've seen. Gee takes almost 3 second out of Cole, Brosnan comes in just behind his with an equally fantastic run, Hart puts together what should have been a winning run, taking 1.2 off Gee's already nutty time, and then Gwin steps in and destroys everyone at 1.2 above Hart. absolutely nuts.

then, of course, for the interview, Gwin said he wasn't as fast as he thought he'd be in the lower half...coulda fooled me...

    insane...

Un-fuuggggginnn-believable. So smooth, sees the course entirely differently than his competitors. Speechless indeed... I wonder if he'll race at Fontana again this winter, or if Mr. Superstar, Mr. record-setting-five-win-season, Mr. World Cup winner will stay away from our little ghetto DH track.

Here he is last March, paper plate, Dickies shorts and all...(borrowed from Cleghorn photography)

All I can say is, go get that World Championship now. Fuggin' do it boy!

I think he scouted my line choice and technique at Funtucky, lol.

Seriously, Brosnan and Hart had fantastic runs also, good for the young em's

At certain points, rest of the top 3 were getting bucked all over the place. Gwin looked like he was just relaxed. Amazing.
