I online registration for the VQ is now sold out as well.

ONly those mail in applications postmarked by 10/5/07 will be counted.

There is however a waiting list....people do drop out and they will be replaced.

WOW! really J? Chris was saying that during the campout that it could sell out this week. :bang::clap:

The VQ feathers are all done. Just have to hand them over to Carrie so she could put the bead work on. I'm on the CC feathers now. DO ONE OF THESE FEATHERS HAVE YOUR NAME ON IT?

    Steve,

If you want in, get your name on the waiting list. As of right now there are only a few names on it. You don't have to pay until you get chosen.

Plus it is not fair to those that have gone through the proper channels.

    mtnbikej

Nope.....the only ones getting in for free are comps given to our Sponsors. Everybody else pays.

OK I'm in for the Vision Quest AND the Counting Coup!

Its tough doing both but I have done it in the past and I'm sure if I get the right training in again, I will be able to do it again. Of course I am talking about volunteering at Aid Station #1 for both rides. Look for the intoxicated cheer leader... it will probably be me.

As of 7pm tonight there were 47 people on the waiting list for Counting Coup and 15 for Vision Quest.

Anybody wanting to get on the CC list will have very little chance of getting in.

Those wanting on the VQ list will have a much better chance. However, don't sign up for VQ just because you couldn't get into the CC. You know your capabilities.

There may be about 350 of us on the waiting list as the fires may have jeopardized things a bit.:(

As of now, the events have not been cancelled. I would train as if it is still on so you'll all be ready. I'm sure the WS will inform all those involved(racers, volunteers) if there are any changes.

Fires have not done enough damage to any of the trails that we use. Should go on without a hitch.

Who knows what the access roads look like especially Maple Springs. They bulldozed alot of stuff up there. I hope the fireroads aren't torn up too bad from equipment. I guess time will tell.

Just a little reminder for those on the waiting list for either the VQ or the CC events, train as if you're in or you'll find yourself unprepared. There will be lots of training rides posted from now until then. Hope to see you on some of these rides. ;)
