Just came across a pretty sweet deal on 2008 Iron Horse "World Cup" frame kits!
    $1,799 (MSRP $2,499) Available sizes 16",17", 19"
Update: The price was $1,499. They have since changed the price. Bummer!
Special Thanks to FrameKiller for the heads up!

I have never seen the WC as a frame only.:-k It is only sold as a complete bike ($6,000)!

My opinion: 1) They parted out the WC bikes 2) The factory had a few extra frames lying around (cough...RSCycle and IH are tight...cough).

I will spare everyone the lecture on how the Iron Horse Sunday is the greatest DH bike ever made.

    Just trying to help!

    One more thing... :-k

Many may consider the Sunday to be a "DH ONLY" bike. [-X
Due to it's efficient linkage, moderate weight and near-full length seat tube, (in my opinion) it would make a pretty solid FREERIDE bike.

Oh, don't you worry about the cash flow for Whistler. I just don't know if I'll be able to afford the custom 12" disk brakes I'll be needing if I get stuck behind you. ;)

Oh, just to keep the post on topic I don't think the Sunday would make a good freeride bike. It would be ok, but not what's it was designed for.

What happens when it breaks and they give you a 2010 frame to replace it?

If warranty is an issue and you still want a Sunday, I'd wait a year for the new Giant frame to come out.

Correction: By "FREERIDE" bike, I don't mean a bike that one will want to climb for 20 miles. I will tell you one thing, that bike is a lot more efficient than A LOT of 7" bikes! Not naming any names.

A few months back, I *EASILY* climbed (and pedaled) my way around the Fullerton Loop on a Giant Glory DH. I don't see why I couldn't do the same on a Sunday... Very similar linkage!

2008 World Cup framesets were available before Iron Horse pulled out of the LBS. I have one.

Great, durable frame...except for the paint, but that's been the story since 2005.

A word of caution to you rotund riders out there. 400# and above Vivid springs are known to rub the frame. I weigh 190 and run a 350# Vivid spring with no rub.

Not to mention the Glory DH has almost an extra inch more travel than the Sunday.

A few years back I pedaled my way around the Fullerton loop on a Schwinn three speed in the rain/mud. You hardly even need a mountain bike to get around that loop.

    I'm just sayin..... ;)

You know sadly I had high hopes that perhaps the Dino/IH propaganda would finally come to an end...but it wasn't meant to be #-o

I might take it upon myself to buy all of their IH Sunday stock and melt them down to nip this plague in the bud!!! :bang:
