All the guys in there are really cool, even the prices on their bikes are reasonable. But I went in for some crank bolts and they wanted $22 for them. I went to Jax in Fullerton and they sold them for $7. They have great service, just charge too much for parts.
They are a pretty good shop. Jax is retarded and probably charged you for the wrong item. What crank bolts were they? What do they go to?
It's been over three years. but I would NEVER go back to that shop. I had never ridden a mountain bike before but I knew I wanted to start. I got great service up to the sale. Everything went downhill from there and I'll NEVER go back. It took two weeks to get my Heckler ready (promised 2 days ??) and they still forgot to order my pedals. So I finally get the call that the bike is ready. I go over happy as a kid on Christmas morning only to find out that when they were taking the bike down from the ceiling rack it fell and snapped off the lock-out lever on the fork. Don't worry they said, we'll have a new one in days. Weeks later still no luck. By now, I had learned about the cool shops down south and was rigged and ready to ride. I wrote a polite and professional "you suck" letter to T.W.D'r and to Santa Cruz letting them know how terribly one of their authorized dealers treated me. I never heard back from T.W.D'r (or got my lever replaced). Santa Cruz responded quickly, sent me more parts than I needed for free and followed up a few weeks later to make sure all was still well. I sure have spent a LOT of money at other shops since then. Oh well, their loss....... Three thumbs down from me. rotest:[-X#-o](*,)
Kevin, I'm not even going to try to apologize for Gabe. Anyone else, I would, but not him $7 sounds like a reasonable deal, and it's the beginning of turning around a "ship that's been off course" for along time. It takes allot of "attaboys" to overcome so many F-ups. You know what I mean? I know you personally want to take care of your customers. Keep up the good work
I have helped out Two Wheeler Dealer, and they have helped out Me, when in need of product to take care of a Customer....sometimes very simple things. They drove to pick it up for someone....the mark of a Shop that goes the extra mile to take care of people.....
All I needed was crank bolts for a shimano octolink crank. I'm not bashing them. Hell, I still might even buy my next bike from them just because I like the attitude the guys have. They just charge too much for their parts.
If they were extracting bolts for the older octalink then $22 for a set is standard, there is 6 pieces in there, the bolts, the caps and the washers.
They are the closest bike store to me at my work. I have had nothing but good experience with them. I have not bought a bike from them, just smaller parts, tubes, cables and such.
so why dont we all focus on T.W.D. instead of all this other random crap... ive shopped there a couple times and have had nothing but a great experience every time.they guys there know their stuff and are always very helpful. they are a bit of a drive for me and i have a couple other shops that are closer s o i dont get down there that much but they are a great bike shop.
Great shop and excellent customer service. Just started going there since the shop is close to my office. I've had a couple of issues with my bike and they've gotten me back on the trail in no time. Most of the time while I wait. I don't mind paying a little bit more or don't bother asking to price match when the customer service is that good. Like any business, they are there to make money and I don't mind supporting my LBS to help keep the doors open.
