So I'm in the process of scheduling knee surgery and would like to sell before that time. Feel free to shoot me an offer or if you want to check it out.

    Thanks for looking.

    Copied from Craigslist:

Injuries no longer allow me to ride so it's time to pass this worthy bike onto a new owner.

Pictured is a 2008 Gary Fisher (owned by Trek) Fat Possum LX. Size Medium (17.5")

This is an amazing all mountain bike for those getting into mountain biking or looking for a full suspension bike without breaking the bank.

I've ridden this bike all over OC and it handles all the local trails with ease. Plenty of travel to soak up anything you throw at it. You'll get a workout on the climbs but you'll be able to hang with all your buddies who dropped $3,000+ on their rigs all day long.

Look up any review online and you'll see that this bike is anything but a let down.
For instance one review says "For the money, the Fat Possum XT serves up a fine blend of trail taming traits and hill stomping attributes."

"The Fat Possum is beefy enough to handle even the roughest trails but light enough to be ridden all day strong".

Here's a link to what owners have said on mtbr:

The bike has all the factory components, most notably:
Fox Float RL fork which has been rebuilt at Rock n Road in Anaheim Hills
    Manitou Swinger X3 rear shock
    Shimano Deor shifters
    Shimano Deor front derailleur
Shimano Deor SLX rear derailleur - upgraded from Deor LX
    Hayes HFX-9 hydraulic disc brakes
    New Kenda Nevegal tires

No squeaky suspension. Nothing leaks. I take care of my bike and wipe it down after every ride.
Frame has some minor scratches, minor cable rub, but no dents or bends.
Pedals on the bike are negotiable.

    Come check it out!
    $799 OBO

a dude at work asked me about getting a bike today. I mentioned this one and said ~ 700 (me bad, the memory is the 2nd thing to go, I forgot what the 1st thing is). I'll let you know, but peep's who dont ride do not understand what the difference is between a Wallymart $200 bike is to and actual functioning bike

The OP is one incredible classic bike. It would've been like buying a 55 Chevy. I would've put it in the garage and wiped the dust off weekly. It's too gorgeous to ride!
