Ride up the Luge at night. You'll see the descending riders lights reflect off the canyon walls long before you'll even hear them. I've done it a grip of times and surprised many a rider but haven't been surprised myself. That said, I pull off the trail before the descending rider passes. And when some slam on the brakes when they see me, they've passed me long before they would have stopped. Yeah, it sucks to stop and wait, but...collision averted. Lucky I was not an equestrian or inattentive hiker as many a rider would have run me over...

Well I rode it today... STT good shape minor sog on the descent down to the luge... Luge was pretty good but soggy in a few places but very fun, we took down 4 first timers they were all grins...
We did the climb past the luge and it was fine... we spoke to some folks coming down from further up and they said the next section which is the rocky in the shade part was pretty soggy cold wet still but rideable.
It was a great day to ride ... Rode Whiting... STT / Luge and Berms .... ready for new year...

Just a heads up, saw some dude and crazy looking Foreigner(possible ISIS) working on the bottom section of the luge. looked like they were up to no good... watch out for Improvised trail features(ITF) such as new redesigned burms with crazy amounts of flow. They probably want to catch us off guard in the lower burm section so watch out!

I only got a quick glimpse, I didn't want to stop, they had a crazed look in their eyes. The look you can only get when it rains one day during a 3 year drought. From the looks of it foreigner definitely knew how to handle the pick, maybe prior experience?
