I am at my wits' end here.

Went over to Irvine Bicycles (formerly San Canyon Cyclery) to get my headshok for my Cannondale replaced. They had to order a new shock.

That was over 2 weeks ago. The shock has not arrived. Well, it is not their fault except...

I ask them to check with Cannondale to see the shipment status. 3 times. That has yet to happen. This day and age, you have ways to trace shipments.

"We are too busy. We will call as as soon as"

"They are on the East Coast, and it's too late to call now"

"We will make a phone call the first thing in the morning tomorrow" (Does not happen. Back to "we are too busy to call").

The Project Rwanda Ride is just 3 days away, and I am getting nervous, but yet there is no sense of urgency from the shop. Seen mostly positive reviews, so is this just an anomaly? The total lack of attentiveness is very unsettling.

Part of the problem is buying a bike that uses proprietary parts. I hope they get you back on the trail soon.

I would call the bike shop and explain to them with a firm voice that you have an event coming up real soon and that you need them to do address your concerns. Just in case, you should have a back-up plan like getting a loaner/demo bike from them... free of charge.

I told them that from the beginning. And then every day since last week. All on deaf ears. Asked them to call the company to check the shipping status. Day after day. Never happens.

I had a very similar problem with Two Wheeler Dealer in Brea. :protest:

It's not that hard to call or email and keep your customer happy. Needless to say, since then all of my $ has gone to La Habra Cyclery and the Path.

Exactly! I realize not everything is under their control. But in this day and age, shipments are very traceable. They have not lifted a finger to do the very simple thing.

Call Cannondale yourself and see if you get something done that way....

This is also true about 2 Wheeler Dealer. And likewise, La Habra Cyclery is my new LBS.

I had a chainring bolt come out of my Raceface cranks and was in the area....stopped in to ask if they carried small parts for Raceface products like cranks....the Tech/Manager in the store said "What is Raceface?" I said "Okay then have a nice day!!" and politely left.

I should add initially while browsing....they tried to sell me a female specific road bike that was "perfect for me".....I'm almost 6'1....it was a 54. #-o

Have you started talking to other shops to see if they can get the part for you.....just ask for your bike and $$$ (if you've paid anything) and move on....they obviously don't want you business....

If owned a business and one of my employees told a customer they were too busy, it would be their last day on the job.

Get your bike back and never darken their doorway again.

I'd take a drive over there and ask when they placed the order and who with. Then I'd call Crackandfail and find out if the hold up is on their part and if it is try to find out why.

The guys at Revo are pretty good, they always get parts I've ordered to me in a reasonable amount of time. Customer service there is always good.

I walked into Irvine Cyclery after it changed owners and got a bad vibe from all the "too cool" guys standing around the shop...they kinda gave me that look like, "oh, don't bother with her, she's just a chick"...they never even bothered to ask if there was something they could help me with...

The shop got an email back from Cannondale. The parts got shipped yesterday. What sucks is that I paid for them already.

Cannondale did not give them a tracking number because they weren't asked for it. Is this 1980?
