I am trying to post an add, and it will not let me. Does anyone know what is up? Every time I click "submit," it reverts back to the previous page. I don't want to become a subscriber, because I rarely sell stuff. How do I submit and pay the fee? Or do I have to be a subscriber?

Just curious, how would we post up a trade ad? Should it go as sale or wanted?

STR Classifieds sponsored by MikeLord and his shop.

Dude, where else can you advertise every item in your shop for only a dollar?

    Vendor Forums vs. Classifieds

Why is it that the Marketplace (where a number of us older STR members routinely scored some great deals) has been basically eliminated by having sellers only post for sale items in the Classifieds, which one must search for, yet businesses can post 'sales'/etc. in the Vendor's Forum visible to all?

    I am new here.
I feel this is directed at me so i will go out on a limb here and explain this.
web hosting and bandwidth costs money running a site such as this costs money.
this site most likely uses 100-150 GB of bandwidth a month that is not cheap.
vendor forums are a form of paid advertising by us the vendors paying money to the admin to keep the site updated and running smoothly
i picked STR because i have over 100 friends on here that have been begging me to come on here to give some hot deals to the guys/gals. and so far i am having fun but our forum is not only hot deals its going to be a lot more

This is not directed at you or any other of the vendors, let me be very clear in this. I well understand that you pay for the advertising, just as sellers pay for classifieds. My question is why one is visible in the open forums and one isn't. :?:

Art, if EACH add in the classifieds were to go on the home page, there would be no space for anything else. That was the problem with the old MP. Things would get bumped and there would be more for sale threads on the home page than anything else. The current classifieds have the most recent adds on the right side of the main page. It's easier to look for items since it is categorized where the old MP, you needed to search by a key word.
