The Official (2014) Over the Hump Thread!!!

I couldn't care less if people are sandbagging and/or cutting the course! It dosen't do anything to the smile on my face when I finish 30 seconds faster than the week before. Great event, great fun, great format. Thanks for all your efforts and keep the OTH races coming.

Wasn't planning to race this season but when I saw that it was Fullerton Bikes night I thought I'd throw on my FB jersey and show some support. Good times seeing everyone out there. I finished a horrible 18th place out of 33 in b49 but still had fun doing it. I'll be back,I've got some work to do. Hooked again? Vincent shows no interest in racing this year. Please help me get him out there.

 

Greg get him looking at Fontana again.. maybe he can get in on the next race session later in the season Oct/Nov timeframe..

With regard to "Big Vince" making an appearance at OTH....
Pretty sure I can find a person (or two) who will be able to persuade him.
(thankfully we will have multiple weeks with which to wear him down)

I made a mistake of thinking that flying would be faster than pedaling!




It was a fun race, even though I got flowed by another racer. Some racers take this thing too seriously. I'm glad I'm in it for fun.

 

Any update on the rider that got hurt during warm-ups?

 

Hopefully, we'll at least go practice with you guys again.

I don't think he got hurt, per se, I heard that he was experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath - perhaps a cardiac issue? Hope he is OK

 

When I saw him he had a neck brace on and "heard" he had broken ribs.

 

Umm...that would explain the difficulty breathing

Yup I am having the same problem right now! Broke my ribs (not at OTH) #-o

The Old Farts in the Sport 50 class are FAST this year. Last season I was finishing in the top 10........this year bottom 10#-o

It's still fun!

 

Least you are out there pedaling! I have a bunch of buddies that run this series every year & now they are harping at me to join them since I just got my first MTB. Maybe next year...

Motocross buddies….Sealy, Boggle and Millsap’s finished 3rd, 4[SUP]th[/SUP] and 5[SUP]th[/SUP] in sport 1, yes the sport guys are FAST.
