Saturday Morning Wood Canyon Coffee Social/Ride

SHARE has a trail maintenance day planned to work on Meadows but I can't remember the exact date. I think it's sometime in Feb. I'll post it after our next meeting.

 

haha.. most times i feel like tool down shifting.. but today it felt great.. it was like... "I down shift because I can... and you cant.. and that makes me feel good about myself". LOL

Just doing a conversion on my Rockhopper since I now officially have an 08 Yeti 575.

 

Cholla gave me tough time for the first time in years. And the last climb to the top of mathis had me wheezing. It's amazing how all the little climbs kick your ass when you don't have 100% of your lung capacity. I won't be doing any traing rides with Gene for a few months until I recover.
At least I wasn't suffering alone on this ride.:drunk:

 

Nice turnout of SSers at Aliso today. Good seeing some of the STR regulars and finally meeting the other riders too.

Do you guys ride Aliso every saturday morning? Hmmm... I may have to join you guys next week as I'm finally getting some strength back in my legs.

 

I was going to do the "Tour De Aliso" again, this time on SS. It won't be posted. Besides, there is less than 2 months before the VQ/CC

Woke up super sick this morning which in turn made me late so needless to say by the time i made the drive to Aliso i was out of it so i did what any other responsible adult would do...i shuttled with some buddies that i found at the bottom :bang::bang::bang:
Hopefully i'll be better by next week so i can make the group ride.

 

Steve, good to meet you out there. Dude, pneumonia really sucks. I had it right when 9/11 happened. Took me a little more than a month to recover from that.

pretty much...some days it's a little more fast paced (when i'm riding my geared) and other days it's longer when i'm SSuffering

Great pix Mike, I should have dropped you a note for this morning's San Juan ride...it was perfect weather and great conditions!

 

Thanks but I planned on being home for the Chargers game anyway. I did another quick loop at Aliso this morning on my Niner and as was home by 9am.

 

Yup, had to stay home and watch some football!
