I got a great deal on a 2012 Jedi. Looking forwards to building it up, but it will be 4 weeks before the wheelset is ready. This will give me an excuse to go to Mammoth once or twice during the summer
Congrats!!! You're going to love that thing! I owned a 2008, 2010 and a 2012 Jedi.:bang: Not sure if you've ridden a Jedi (rearward suspension) before...but keep these things in mind... -The suspension is something you'll have to get used to, its very different in feel when compared to others (vpp, 4 bar, etc.) -Be ready to accelerate through the rough stuff...i saw my self inching up on my buddies through the rough stuff and having to brake. -Be careful with the front end...the bike seems to dive off(feels like a heavy front end) of jumps and you'll need to compensate for that(IMO). Also, be ready for people to eye and gawk at your bike...every time I let someone swing a leg over my Jedi, they ended up buying one. I highly suggest you use the CCDB base tunes as a starting point. http://www.canecreek.com/products/suspension/double-barrel/base-tunes Here was my Jedi...she is now with another that's putting her to good use. Enjoy the Jedi! Also, don't be afraid to reach out to the Brothers and staff. They are really helpful and great guys to deal with!
Thanks! Your Jedi looks awesome - sweet build! QUOTE=SchwinnStr8;967863]Congrats!!! You're going to love that thing! Sweet bike T! I think our company's mammoth trip is set for the first week of August...can't wait to try out the beast!!
Thanks. I hope to make it to Mammoth this summer - probably schlepping up the Jedi (and maybe even the Delirium).
one sexy rig!! I can't wait to get out of debt so I can upgrade. The suspension design will be a good transission i think from the ol' Lawwil straight8 system :bang: can't wait to get me a jedi!!
My brother is still riding his Schwinn Straight 8 DH bike. That thing is a beast, but the suspension rocks.
I don't mean to thread jack but I joined the club with a small 2011!! the ol' straight8 won't be forgotten...
