^^ We've got strong feelings because we care about our trails. Those shortcuts are so well-established they might as well be official. We'll work on that, but I agree about the occasional need for places to pass. I'm assuming your buddy was going 9 mph and you wanted to go 10.
I've put together a list of current and potential volunteers for this project and just sent out an email. If you're interested in helping or have sent me a PM and not received the update, please email me at the address in my profile. Thank you, Jim
I cant wait to get out there and ride all the shortcuts and crash into all the fences even if i have to build them up quickly just to crash em down! With a GOPRO! Just Kidding Herzy! Kioti, you are the man!!
You forgot to mention that the whole event will be in pursuit of your PR or KOM on STRAVA! :bang: And you just magically transformed Jim from a wild canine to a city in Japan! :-k
!?! Right now I'd settle for the ability to get a "Thanks" from Mr. Hoover. Failing that, the power to make it rain so we can finish this trail!
Yeeeehaaaaww! Sorry, i had to. With as wide as a lot of that trail is and the corners, this really wasn't necessary.
Rode Meadows this morning. The trail work is much appreciated. Kioti was at it again doing solo work. I called out his name and said THANKS, my only regret is not actually stopping and shaking his hand...
OMG You got thank #51! All you have to do is consistently fantastic trailwork for several years. I've been trying to get #51 through clever quips, but have failed. I rode Meadows today and I must say, the work that Kioti, Kevinator and rynine did yesterday at the top was stellar, The trail is now about 80% improved, and Jim was at it again, fixing one of the last remaining trouble spots. The berms are solid and increase the flow for riders of almost any ability. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call out or use a bell as your speeds will most likely be increasing. Your smiles will increase too. Say hi to hikers and climbers and no collisions please!
Hoover "thanks!" :bang: Rain making shouldn't be a problem now! :-k Realization that his "Thanks" can be removed! ](*,) It's a cruel world when you realize all you'd ever hoped for can be taken away with a single click.

Ryan, Kevin and I went up there yesterday in the hopes of finding some remaining moisture from last week's rain. It was pretty dry but there's a turn near the top we thought we could work on. The soil was dry on top but damp underneath so we went for it. Then we went down to the last steep turn, which was all blown out, and there was just enough moisture under the surface to shape and bank the outside line. I went back today to define the entry turn above it, and the transition. We'll fine tune all of it when we get some rain. Thanks for everyone's patience as we put some shape in this trail.
Rode it again this morning. Thanks for the recent work Kioti! Hope the rain wednesday is enought to pack down the improvements.
