Just got home from the game....there are no words to describe how awesome that was. The parade Thursday should be fun. Go Kings Go!!!!!!!
Funny, my roomate asked me what the score would be. I said 6-1 Kings. Never did I think I would be right. Damn, why didnt I put money down in Vegas?
That was amazing! I lucked into a (suite) ticket last minute and got to soak it all in. The NJ front office staff and Gary Bettman were in the suite next to us. The looks on their faces were priceless after the Kings scored the 3 goals on the powerplay.
:clap:best night of my life! my dad started taking me in 83, he passed last year. this is what he always wanted to see but never got too. so glad it finally happened. all those years as a kid going home crying after 1st round exits are a distant memory! i can die in peace now!
As much as i hate to admit, the Kings dominated these playoffs and deserve the cup. Welcome to the club boys
Fox Sports Net is showing all the clinching games right now. Just watched game 5 of the Vancouver series and game 4 of the St Louis series is on now, followed by game 5 of Phoenix, then the classic domination of the Devils in game 6. I should be napping cause I have to work tonight, but I can't get enough of this!
Best photo (celebration) I have seen yet! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to watch Bob and Jim's call of game 6! (just realized that they are not airing a game 6 replay with Bob and Jim making the call - BOO!!!) There was rumor that this was going to happen. I hope the rumors were right.
Bob Miller is on 710 ESPN radio right now and Vin Scully called in to congratulate Bob. Vin asked Bob whether we would hear him and Jim Fox call the game and Bob said that there will be a DVD available later. Then to my surprise, Bob repeated what he said during the taping and Vin said "see, I finally did get to hear it!" CLASSIC!!. You may be able to hear this on Podcast of the Mason and Ireland show. Since I'm off Thurs, I plan on going.
Parade starts at noon. Airing the parade on Fox Sports Net now. Interviewing Bob Miller and Jimmy Fox right now.
So, who, if anyone from the Kings will get their name misspelled on the Cup? I'm going with Drewiskie...
Just got home from parade and rally... Wow, what a day!!!! I just got back home to Long Beach and had a blast!!! Parking wasn't an issue, parked in our usual lot on Fig, south of Pico, $20, not too bad. We got there around 10:35 this morning, plenty of parking in our lot. We walked down Fig, and crossed into the Staples Center fenced off area after showing our tickets. Afer cruising through that little corridor, I saw Jim Fox walk by, gave him an "Alright Foxy!", he acknowledged us with a smile and a "Hey guys!". We continued to walk and posted up in front of LA LIVE (Staples side). We had a great spot and were super excited when the rig with Kopi, Green, Brownie and Quickie stopped right in front!!! So we got to hear their speeches, and see them raise the cup with all of the confetti shooting in the air and stuff!!! I took video of that entire moment, almost 9 minutes worth, I'll upload it tomorrow, but in the meantime, here is a screengrab from it! Once the parade ended, we hung out for a bit, then decided to walk about 10 paces to get in line for the Star Plaza Entry, from the minute they opened the doors, til the time we got in, took about 30 minutes, it felt slow going, but luckily it wasnt too hot. After we got inside, we got some grubb and headed up to our seats in 305. They had the 3rd period replay going, with Bob Miller and Foxy calling it, pretty sweet! The rally was pretty awesome, it was also cool to see the boards up without the glass in them! All in all, wow, what a great ending to an amazing season!!!! Here are a few more stills I took with my iPhone... my fiance on the right, another Clifford fan on the left...
