Carl, I love you like a brother :lol:but I think BMI has to come into play for the "true clyde" club. Granted, I take much pleasure in squashing so called "clydes" at sactioned endurance, XC and DH events but I'd prefer to hang with my true brethren. Just keep eating and it will happen:lol::lol::lol:
Don't feel too bad, my doc says I'm "morbidly obese"...I think I just broke a sweat typing this...I have to go lay down now:lol::lol::lol:
Hey wait a min - don't you OFTEN make the podium in your age group ??? No need to crush anymore ego's then you do every other weekend at Fontana :bang::bang:
My doc told me I was like Hercules, a fat Hercules.:-k He looked like the guy from the Princess Bride who kept saying "Inconceivable!" #-o
The Doc told me i need to get in shape. I said "Round is a shape". 6'5" @ 275lbs. I need to fix by POS and gt back on it.
It seems that I will be a clyde 4 ever....but I am in the best shape I have been in years..currently 5'10" 224...used to be 265...Riding allows me to have a few post ride beers!
I'm fat and happy..... i just did my first fontana series... 2nd over all out of two that racked up points.... for the races i got two 3rd and three 2nd places... i'm 5'11" 225 at the moment..... 260 at my heaviest.... i'm going to try to get a "Taco" place to sponsor me for my racing... it would be awesome to see me in a Tacos Mexico jersey or Tacos Jalisco, Tortas Sinaloa, Gordos Tacos... what do you guys think....
big man I read your input the other day and could not find the web for the cloths i get xxxl from http://www.hossmtb.com/index.php they make a big size i am 5-11 was 282lbs now 237 broke 2 ribs at the top of the luge before the down hill started so been off bike for 3weeks sucks gained 8lbs lay in around first ride was sat last weekend felt great. i get passed by just about every body but i just started september last year. good luck.
I say inaugural ClydeRyde in support/honor of Drake's new biz in Murrieta on April 3rd. Yeah it's far for most of us (180 miles r/t for myself) and there will be those that aren't Clydes, but so what? It's a good event to meet at and it's not like there isn't one or two trails to ride out there. (SRP then Superman anyone?)
I'm a bit over 5'9" and 230. 4 years of playing offensive line will do that to ya. I fit comfortably into the Clyde range. I consider myself in better-than-average shape but I could definitely lose some weight .
According to most mountain biking associations a Clydesdale is anyone over 200lbs. Basically half of adult American males fit the category no matter what their body type is.
