Bikes don't kill bunnies

Correctomundo. The fork lowers will have to be gutted. Bushings, seals, EVERYTHING should come out. Then you have to find a way to not only strip the paint/PC that's already on there, but remove and neutralize any oil residue. If you don't, your PC job will look like ass, because as you cook the part to cure the powder, the oil will start to smoke out of the fork, then get deposited into your curing PC. Then there is the issue of outgassing with cast alloy parts. Not to be a dick, but if you're going to have someone backyard PC your stuff, make sure they know the drill. There is a big difference in prep between PCing your crank arms, and a set of fork lowers. If you do have the lowers PC'd make sure you have your LBS face the brake adapter mounts.
