Default Cruisin' in style now!

Last Friday Gene took me to the Path and introduced me to Tani and some of the crew... Sid, Dre, Sauce, Eric(?)... I hope I got your names right . Anyway, Tani knocked me down, smacked me right down to the floor, and told me "YOU'RE BUYING THIS BIKE!" (Well... that's how my wife thinks it went down. What she don't know...)

Actually, it was a great experience, with a bunch of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful people. And Tani was right... I DID buy that bike. And a sweet bike it is!

After that, Gene took me for my first ride at Aliso. He very patiently took me up Ch(huff) Ch(huff) Cholla, where believe it or not I didn't die, then took me down Rockit, where I promptly endo'd. No harm done, though, just a couple of scrapes... Oh, me? I'm fine too, I was lucky enough to land on my head. Good thing I wasn't wearing a helmet, though... man, that thing would've been smashed!!

Anyway, it was a great experience all the way around. Tani and the peeps at the Path are awesome, I got to spend some quality time with me ol' pal Gene, got in a good ride, and came home with a fantastic machine! Don't know how it can get much better than that.

Thanks Tani for hooking me up, thanks Gene for the tour of Aliso, and thanks to everyone else for listening!

Hope to see you on the trail soon...

Mitch

Nice color!

Tani hooked me up as well when I bought my 07 Enduro SL back in May. I love the bike more and more each time I ride...

Have you seen the 08 Stumpy FSRs? They have a rear suspension just like my SL!

I'm stepping up from a HT, and the ride is incredible. It's gonna take me a while to learn to ride 'er like she should be ridden, but... isn't that always the case??

The '08's are awesome, but Tani gave me a good deal on the '07, and I couldn't justify springing for the extra $$$. They are SWEET though, I love that suspension.

I agree you can't pass up a deal on an 07. That bike will last you years and you'll have a great time riding it.

I didn't even have a mtn bike before getting my SL. I used to freestyle BMX way back when I was in jr. high. I had never ridden trails, ever, until my friend Jeff took me out riding. That was in April this year, and then I May I bought the SL. I definitely jumped in with both feet! Now I'm totally hooked. I haven't missed riding at least one per week since I bought the bike.

Congrats again on the bike, and definitely get it dirty!

Actually, I had to clean it up a bit for the pic. I didn't get a chance to take a "virgin" pic before we went to Aliso, so she got a wipedown this morning. She'll probably never be so clean again!

Nice ride! Is that stumpy a comp, elite or expert? Also how much did it run you? I'm looking for a new bike and the stumpy is somewhere on my list :P

It's the Stumpy FSR Elite. I got it for about $2200, and Tani threw in a pair of Candy SL pedals.

Yep, it's right down the street, almost walking distance. But I just couldn't reach that deep into my pocket. Now, if they were to offer some deep DISCOUNTS to locals, that would seriously help fly the banner of civic pride!

Ain't THAT the truth. When you're preachin' to the choir, you're gonna get a lot of 'hallelujahs' and 'amens'!
