Im keep having to pump up my rear Fox float on my M5 Stumpy(every 3-5 rides). Am I too fat? is this common? I don't mind doing it, but it sucks when it bottoms out(when I forget to pump it up) on climbs and I'm kicking every rock I tread over. Getting a new shock is probably not going to happen as I'm looking at AM bikes, and would rather just use the money there. but in the mean time while I'm saving I don't want to stop riding, do I just have to deal with it till I'm on my new horse?....Any band aid resolutions?

Seals might need to be replaced.... Might wanna call Push and see what they say....
Also check the shaft for scratches... and make sure it has a light coating of lube Quote:

I don't know the time span for you to do 3 - 5 rides, but I always check my air shocks about every two weeks on every air shock I've ever owned...just as often as I check the tires. It's normal for a bit of air to leak, so any longer time than that, the air loss may be noticeable.
Yes, put air in the shock every 2-4 rides.

You can buy the seals and do it yourself. There are instructions available online. You can remove your shock and submerge it to identify the source of the leak. Sometimes it is valve related. It can be the threads where the valve threads in. It can be a leaky or loose valve core. You should be able to get at least a few weeks without major air loss.

mine suddenly lost all pressure resulting in a fall on the SART last friday. turns out the end cap wasnt tight (the part with the adj. on it) so i came home and tighened it, seems cool...theres a good tutorial on fox's site on how to do this, at the beginning they give you the option of buying the parts (only 6.00=shipping)...
heres the link http://www.foxracingshox.com/fox_tec...ice_videos.htm
