Bikes don't kill bunnies
|
I already PM'd SpookyDave on this one as he has the rack I'm after, but I was hoping one of the old hands on here would also know the model and could point me in the right direction. We used Dave's rack to go to Mammoth, and it worked awesome and is more compact and probably lighter than the standard Sportworks T2 or Hookup racks.
I'm looking for the model of a Yakima rack that uses two arms to cradle the bikes. Much like a bighorn etc, but with one major exception, the arms are spaced wider apart to catch the bike at the rim, and slide between the spokes as opposed to under the frame. The thing also folds down pretty small which would be nice for when I'm storing it in the garage. I want to get rid of my Yakima roof rack setup to save a little gas, and have a sturdier and easier to access mounting platform for the bikes. Any insight anyone may have would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Chris |
