Jeff Streber of Intense Cycles has commented that he would like to see DH races on 29" wheels. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has a M5-29er in the works.

I doubt it. The only reason that he made a 5.5 prototype because there were was a current 5” fork available and at least one more for 08. I think a DH bike from Intense is waaaaaaay down the road (if it happens).

no idea if they have done other protos.

since i didn't get to ride it in the dirt, i don't have any comments. i heard that several people in the industry didn't like the bike. don't know if it will go into production or not...
they told me that they were going to produce the medium frames in October and larges in December.

I hear ya on the low BB. I run 180mm cranks and it is a huge issue for me.

Richard Cunningham (MBA/Mantis) tested one for a couple of weeks earlier this year and really liked it... didn't want to give it back.... and he's considered the Great Satan by the 29er crowd. As more gear becomes available, it wouldn't surprise me to see a true DH 29er... all it would take is a couple of pros to start running them and winning...

I keep lookin at the lunchbox as well but the rip is 4.5 and the Box is 5 probably stiffer about the same weight if not a little little lighter

Hard to justify at this point,

Maybe a 26" FR bke

Dig the 150mm rear spacing. Now when are they going to get away from the ero roadie spec 110mm wide front fork.

Would like to see WB or ?? come out with a 135mm or greater fork and hub

Dude, I mentioned to Tani that he wanted a Lenz awhile ago. Tani's been down with getting into it

The only thing is that Justin would want to build everything himself!
