Default Replacing brake levers on Juicy 5's ...

So it looks really simple but is there something i need to be aware of? I don't want to hydraulic fluid spraying everywhere when I replace them and there isn't anything in the manual about. Thanks.

danny, are you talking about the actual mechanical lever on the brake or the entire lever assembly?

yeah... are you replacing the entire lever assy?

if you are doing that, there is no pressure in the line (unless you squeeze the lever)

if you are replacing the lever blade...

loosen the set screw that holds the pivot in the blade, remove the pivot pin, then turn the adjuster screw (in lever blade also) to the right until the blade comes off.

Just the actual brake lever blade.

Ok cool, it looked really easy but knowing my luck I would pop off the lever and fluid would start spraying all over the place. Too many not so fun experiences working on cars.
