Default Homerville, CA

First off for those of you that do not know, a Homer is a Turner Bike owner. Homerville is in Murrieta, CA., where Turner Suspension Bikes are located. We Turner Owners are called Homers: because we are poseurs, that spend too much money on bikes and think that we have the best bike money can buy. I concede that obnoxious fact, but that does not change the fact that their customer service is very good.

As many know, I broke a 5-Spot frame two weeks ago and was not sure if I could get a replacement frame before my Tahoe trip. Anyway old news, that brings us to today: so this morning, I drove down to Turner to have them trade out my broken front triangle for my crash replacement new front triangle and upgrade the old 5 inch rockers to 5.5. I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes. They replaced all the pivots and bushings and gave me Turner Swag for the ride down. Greg at Turner is the best…very easy to deal with. He said that I would not notice a big difference in travel but the newer rockers are a lot stiffer without any weight penalty. You can use 5.5 rockers them on any 2004 5-Spot or later as long as the derailleur cable stop is not in the middle of the seat tube. I can admire the new frame until its new owner comes and picks it up this afternoon. Now I wait for my RXF frame. Greg said they will be in by the end of the week, then off to the Powered coaters...ready in two weeks. Or I can get a raw frame end of the week.

Here are a few pics of Turners shop and Greg with the new frame…also a pic showing the thicker the 5.5 rockers.

What I notice more than the stiffness is that the quality of the travel is better with the new 5.5 rockers (mounted on a 05 6 Pack). That's the other Homer trait Dstep forgot - we are always tinkering.

Turner is good folks!!

yes you can get the rockers seperately - if they have any spares at the time you call.

Matt, yes will work with your current shock. $150 for the set. If they have extras in stock.

And I am pissed about it

Now if the Homer Sultan had a 72 degree HA I would consider drinking the Kool-Aid again.

Haven't heard anything about it. I don't think DT is too keen on making any changes to the lines for 08 considering the 07 production problems.

72 degree...why? Kinda steep isn't it, given that the Sultan is a 29'r AM rig.

Because I would want to run a 5" fork on it.

I demo'ed the El Rey at the Path (very close geo to the Sultan except it had a 71.5 HA and didn't like it. The Sultan with a 71 HA is not what I am looking for.

The Ellsworth Evolve is a 72 HA
