I need some help with servicing a Cannondale Lefty fork, circa 2001. The fork does not hold air. I have not worked on one before, and reviewed the cannondale website for instructions and did not find anything.
Does anyone know / refer anyone where a service manual is or anyone who can repair it? It may be just as simple as tightening the valve core in shrader valve, which I attempted to due, but the entire shrader valve rotate and it is not obvious as to hold it in place. Thanks in advance. |

Here's the official Lefty thread from MTBR: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=572616
You might find that one or another of the various threads might suit you. Most shops don't (can't) work on them, so they send 'em to Cannondale. - shud Lefty Rider ==== EDIT ==== I didn't know Drake worked on Leftys!!!! Cool!

He recently serviced a friend's Lefty and I heard he did a pretty good job.

I used Win Allen of Win's Wheels in Westlake Village. He is a former Cannondale employee...he knows what he is doing and is very friendly. http://www.winswheels.com/

^^ +1 on Win. Great guy (and he just expanded his shop!).
He's done a lot for me on my RUSH and never mentioned he'd worked at C'dale OR that he could work on my Lefty. Jeez -- he's my local wrench for cry pete!!! - shud
