This afternoon I just picked up one of my frames from Olympic Powder Coating in Santa Ana. They did an awesome job. Got my frame back to me less than a week.

Yeah I got the orange w/ gold flecks in the top coat. I LOVE it! It was well worth the 100 bucks! And like I said the guys got it done pretty fast. Dropped it off Monday and picked it up this afternoon.

Hey Ross, when you take the fork over you have to comepletely disassemble it. Just the shell of the lowers. The reason for this is the first run an electric charge through the fork to get the powder to stick then they bake the powder on in an oven for 30 min. Not good for seals and plastic parts, not to mention the oil in the fork.
Ikon Powder Coating is a good place, so is Olympic |

I agree on Olympic. They used to do all the stuff for GT and it's subsidiaries (Robinson, Powerlite, Dyno, etc) back in the day.
I had them do a Chevy frame for me. No, not a bike frame, but a frame, suspension, axle, etc. for a Chevy truck that I was doing a frame-off rebuild. They exceeded my expectations. |
