Yesterday, I took a frame (just the front triangle) to Olympic Powdercoating for painting. The guys there were very helpful . They showed me around the shop and recommend some cool colors. They said they paint a lot of turner factory frames. I was about to select the bright green color, but I changed my mind to a cool looking metallic. It will take about 1 and 1/2 weeks and $100 out of my pocket for a front triangle job. I hope it turns out good.

Did that include stripping the frame? Just curious.

Yes, that price includes stripping the frame. Not bad.

P.S. Does anyone know where I can get the the rear polished for cheap?

I've had good luck getting parts polished at custom motorcycle shops.

How much do you think they will charge to polish the rear?

dunno on either counts... there are motorcycle shops all over SoCal, probably one near you... the one I used was in Culver City somewhere (on Venice blvd... or maybe it was Washington?)... I'm sure most if not all have a polishing wheel.

I think I paid $20 to have my crank polished

If you would like to have your frame polished, here is how to get it done.

Send the frame to be chemically stripped. Olympic powdercoating in Santa Ana CA can do that. Talk to Mark Cherry(714) 979-2720

Then send your frame to Bush Metal Polishing in Garden Grove CA to be siceled. Talk to Dave Bush

Then send your frame to Custom Metal Finishing in Gardena CA to be ball burnished. Talk to Rosie. (310) 532-5075

I can take it all apart, but what do i do with the rear triangle? disassemble everything i can? leave the plastics?

and most importantly, where could i get new stickers?

I was thinking about going green or white, too. When they showed me the metallic paints, my attention went into that direction.

If you need to get the rear triangle painted, then you will need to prep that, too. It will be about $40 more to painting the rear.

You can order new stickers from your bike frame manufacture.
