Default Quick Question: XTR M970 Cranks

I recently installed some 970 Cranks and I keep feeling a clicking/slipping around the left crank arm. I installed them as per the instructions online etc. but I just wanted to make sure by checking on here. I installed the Crank Bolt and then Cap securely and then adjusted the barrel to eliminate the play. Should I loc-tite the bolt or something? Am I missing something? Any first hand users have some advice? Thanks so much, even though this is so basic its giving me grief.

did you use any spindle or BB spacers. you may have some play if it is not spaced proper. Tighten the crank bolt on the left arm then tighten the pichbolts.

umm...uh...the M970 cranks the OP has don't have pinch bolts.

But...to help the OP, we need a lot more information.

This is proper good for help on what to do.....

It basically shows how to tension the adjustment nut to take up the play in the crank.....or basically the distance between inner crank arm and bearing face.....this removes the play in the arms.

EDIT: Have someone who lives close to you show you how to do it in person.
