Did a bit of urban jumping today and blew out my rear shock
. Cleaned a 10 stair and when i landed i heard a pop and look down to see dampening fluid going all over my leg and crank. The fluid was coming out of the rebound adjuster/propetal changer lever. Is the shock gone or can it be rebuilt? There is no longer any dampening and i can't change the "modes". No feel in the lever as well. Not really sure what to do since this in my only bike at the moment. Any ideas? rebuild maybe? Thanks, Andy

A rebuild shouldnt be a problem. Take it along to somewhere like Rock and Road and they'll tell you whether its a simple re-seal job or whether it'll need to be sent back to Fox. If it goes back to Fox expect it to take about 2weeks to get it back. Mine needs rebuilding now and loses about 30psi over a week.
Andy was hucking on mine today so maybe I'd better get it done sooner rather than later - I forgive Andy because his bike was sooooooo cool! ![]()

I've had my fork and shock overhauled by Steve at Garageworks. This guy is the Sultan of Squish! And he stands by his work. I needed a bit of help 5 months after initial set up and Steve came thru and fixed me up in under a week.
GARAGEWORKS SUSPENSION Plus he's SoCal local! Even has STR sticker in his shop. |
