Default 09 reba team question

can one take a 120 reba team maxle, and make it the u-turn version (90-120?)

Add a coil and a knob? (like the older models...)

Pretty much, the threading is the same on the top of the crown and the bottom is simply an allen. You could spend a $120 for the Air U-turn but I myself am in the process of dumping air for iron in my 20mm Reba. Only thing is you will have to pull the lowers to get the C-clip on the bottom of the air cartridge, so just hit the Bushings with some red-rum (and new seals if you feel like it) and it will rock better than new.

Question Only CSA changes are the Carbon SID

Only one way to be sure. Probably time for an oil change anyway, the the big changes are confined to the damper guts. Year to year changes so subtle would not justify Re-tooling the 32mm line, just a different color lipstick on the pig.

Is your air stuck too?

Question Worth it for the post mount?

Might be more costly in the end, personally it's an extra $500 just to add compression damping and a Failure prone Air spring. When you slap pike lowers on a 130mm Revelation or Recon travel is reduced to 120mm anyway, and with the proper spring bob is non-existent when wound down for climbing so who needs the extra weight anyway .

a 29er u-turn team = 8-900 bucks new.

used teams are around 350-400 bucks.
A coil and Knob are no more than 60ish....

will it work? using 09 u-turn parts, on an 09 team fork.

cant put 26er lowers on a 29er

You could but things would be choppered out, finding 9er lowers is what would be a pain but it's possible. Anything used will likely have played bushings and seals, so new can be worth it in some cases. I bet the length on the coil is about the same as pike units....

well stock they are 120mm. So you could use a pike coil in an 09 reba chassis.... good

Ok I got the info, NO you cant do this due to the fact the CSU are totally different, if you had a an air u turn reba then by changing the crown steerer unit you could in fact do this with an internal swap as well, but due to the cost I would buy a new fork unless you gotta have this. DO NOT USE PIKE INTERNALS AS THEY DONT WORK AT ALL. All this is direct from RS " Tim and Cully in tech"...........Thanks

I have an 08 Canzo like Chewy but have a 100mm Manitou. I'm thinking about picking up a Reba 120 Team to slackin the headtube up and stiffen up the front end with the maxle.

Think it's a worthy upgrade, if one at all? I like the fact that I can always drop the travel down to 100mm if 120 is too slack and kills my climbing.

You can pick up the Reba Team Maxles for $500 shipped on ebay. Could sell the Manitou for ~$300. $200 worth the change?
