Are your XTR square taper cranks 4 or 5 bolt chainrings? If they are 5 bolt, I am interested in them for my next bike build.

I was at a party one night and I got really trashed and I met this girl who looked just like Shakira. I don't know what happened but I woke up broke sticky and confused next to a chick that looked like Ronald Reagan. So I knawed my arm off so as to not wake her up. But now I am going to have to chew the other one off because I know she is out there looking for the one armed guy that gave her a good time.

Seriously, though, 3 wks ago I wrecked on the fullerton loop and broke my shoulder, shoulder blade, 2 ribs, collapsed a lung, severed an artery in my arm and while that is healing nicely I have nerve damage in my shoulder that makes my left arm as useless as tits on a bull

I have pics posted in the carnage section

I am not sure exactly because I blacked out but I know it was a downhill section that has been closed off to bikers (missed the sign, oops) with a turn at the end and a jump. There is a concrete pad at the jump. At least thats what the guy I was with told me. I am going to meet up with the guy at some point at the site to see if I remember anything

dude - that's f'n crazy. pics are whack. if this is legit i'll do work for you for nothing if you can wait a few days. I'm rocking crutches myself with "recent" ankle brake so might as well do something related to riding. i'm not the best mech but all stuff you ask seems pretty simple. i hope to be starting rehab soon so can certainly stop by on drive home after. How far are you from 22? Hit me with PM to see if we can coordinate.

either way heal up bro!

Thank you so much for your support. I will get in contact with each of you individually with my cell number. Please give me a call and we can set something up. But I wanted to make it public that the offers of help and goodwill are the reason why this site is so much better than others out there. (I shudder to think of the response I'd get at mtbr or ridemonkey) You guys are the best out there, especially the ones who went above and beyond and offered to help me out for free. Thank you all for keeping the community of MTB riders strong

OUCH! I didn't click on this eariler (slow internet), so best wishes for healing. I'm sure the locals will cover your requests, but one question remains - in the "roadie" thread you said you commuted on a bike. Is that going to continue?

In the words of the immortal philosopher Shaft: "You Damn Right"
I am off of work on disability but as soon as my arm heals and I actually have something to commute to, yes I will continue to commute and ride trails or die trying. Thanks for the well wishes

I wanted to give my special thanks to Adam (Kid A) who helped me with the repairs on my bikes. He did a great job and I very much appreciate the time and trouble. Best wishes on his quick recovery from his broken ankle.
