I lost a cleat screw on the Plunge this weekend and now I know why. The metal hole in the bottom of my Specialized BG shoe split. I'm pretty sure that if I put another screw in it will only fall out eventually, too. Is it possible to replace that part or do I have to buy new shoes?

That happened to me too. Does your Spec. Shoes have 4 holes on the bottom? You can remove the insole of your shoe, bend up the flap covering the cleat nuts, remove them and rotate 180 deg. And use the other set of holes to mount your cleat.
Good luck. |

Are you talking about the metal plate that's inside the shoe? You should be able to get one of those somewhere. Try your LBS. I'll look in my garage. I might have one from an old pair of shoes. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I was looking online at new shoes, but I'll try what y'all suggest. Pho, that's a good trick I'll try. I see four holes but the other two look small. Innes, thanks. Let me know.

You mean you have a replacement plate like the one that goes in my shoe? That'd be awesome! What do you want in trade?
