Default Wiggle tire?

I burped my tubeless back tire today. It resealed quickly and still had 15 psi or so. But the tire looked like it was seated bad and would rub the chainstay. I attempted to pull the tire back square on the rim, no good. So I took the tire off, put a tube in and still the tire rubbed.
Headed home for a better look in the garage. Sure enough anytime I try to seat the tire it has a terrible wiggle.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix, or the tire dead?

thanks

Kenda tires are known to often have a bad wiggle even when new. Some do, some don't (but most do). Kendas also tend to "go bad" after inflating them to more than about 50 psi when seating the bead.

I had a WTB DH tire that had a wiggle. No matter what I tried (soapy water on the bead, seating with an air compressor, etc) I couldn't get it straight. It was bad enough that the back of my bike was all over the place on fast descents.

I got new tires because I didn't really like those anyways.

I don't know those tires, but at that price, it sounds like a quality tire. It sounds like the bead is stretched, and there is nothing you can do to fix that. You have two choices:
1) Take it back to the dealer where you bought it and hope they will warranty it, or
2) Work with the manufacturer and see if they will help you. Keep in mind that if the tire is fairly worn, they may simply say that the tire's life is over.

Report back and let us know what works (or not).

I had a Kenda tires that I just couldn't get to bead straight so I pumped it up to 60-80 psi. I figured I had nothing to lose. Either it would straighten out or blow off the rim. Make sure you are standing around the corner from the wheel in case it blows up.

It made 2 pop sounds and then it went straight. Yes it was gay before.

like jason said, pump it up to a high psi, or pump it to about 10/15psi and work it with your hands until the bead sets.

When you say there's a wiggle in your tire do you mean like if you put your bike upside down and spun your rear tire it doesn't look straight? like there's one section of the tire that kind of "wiggles" or curves.. and you know your rim is straight?? if that's what it is then shit! I've been having the same problem and never knew what it was.. everyone that rides behind be keeps telling me my rim is bent.. but I know it's not haha

I had a similar problem with a rear-mounted Hutchinson Barracuda Tubeless Light. It appeared that the wheel needed truing but it turned out to be a defective tire. Like yours, it also burped air at critical moments.

If the tire is new, I recommend returning it for a refund. You shouldn't have much trouble stating your case if the tire is defective.

In my case, I waited too long before getting advice. I took the wheel in to Ladera Cyclery to have it trued and they confirmed that the wheel was fine; that it was in fact a problem with the tire. I ended up pitching it with plenty of life left in the tread
