x-fusion velvet r forks are fantastic for the price. $399 from bikesmart.com
pretty easy to set the travel by removing the lowers and adjusting the internal stopper. the great thing about these forks is the internal system - a "set it and forget it" system. very simple - just rebound dampening. i have them on my xc race bikes. they are active and plush but not so soft that i need a lock-out. i've got mine tuned and feeling better then my fox f100 rlc. they're definitely worth a look if you're looking for a high performance fork on a budget.

man I hate to be a more of a assclown than I already am, but I saw that bike, and I think its time for a
new one. The $$$ you spend on a new aftermarket fork will go towards a newer, technology advanced and easier more fun ride than that hardtail. Any $700-$800 full suspension bike on closeout will improve your ride 120% |

Hit me.

How old is that SuperGo frame? It may still be designed for an 80mm fork. If so, putting a 100mm on it will raise the front end (depending on the amount of suspension sag you run) and slow the handling.

well after all this info i have another question....
if i were to upgrade to a 4" (100mm) travel fork from a 3", would the head angle change a lot? by upgrading to larger travel, does that mean the head angle will be increased? the bike i have is a 03 giant boulder se. if it helps, here is a link to the frame geometry data. http://archive.giant-bicycles.com/us...&modelid=10627 |

so since my bike is mainly XC.. i can ONLY look into forks with max travel of 80mm? no 100's?
