Default Repair Help Please! (road bike)

So I was commuting to work today on my bike and noticed something odd with my cranks.

I don't really know how to describe it, but I will try my best.

When I pedal I sort of feel a click in my pedal stroke, but only when I push hard and always in about the same spot. Could I have cracked a bearing or something? Could there just be some dirt in there? Could my BB be loose? It does not make noise, I can just feel like a bump in the pedal stroke. Anyone experienced this before?

Pedals first, then Crank arms, then BB if nothing is loose or sloppy check the teeth on your front rings. It's a ball bearing in one of the first three most likely.

I had the similar thing... There seemed to be a clunk on the down - stroke rt side - when under slight load only. I disassembled BB, prepared to replace it, and it was just loose. Good luck

Ok, I took my BB out and I don't think the problem was that it was just loose. There are some metal shavings down in there kinda like my BB turned into a lathe for a while. Strange. And the BB was dirty (it had some dirt on it). I can upload some pictures (blurry of the metal shavings). I think I should just try to find out where the metal came from. Maybe it was left over in the frame and worked its way down there over time? Anyone ever hear of anything like this before?
