Default Halfway affordable STEEL Dh frames

I have always been a fan of the Cro-Mo Single pivot Dh frames
Theres the SWD's but they are pretty hard to come by now

I found this on another forum
Majin

Anyone know any other similar frames, any feedback on the SWD

I know it's not the single pivot that you're looking for, but I think Canfield makes a 4130 frame based off of their F1 frame. It may be worth a look.

I've had my brooklyn racelink since 2002. love the bike. but haven't touched in 8months since moving out here. it was good for the diablo and plattekill. but out here the geo doesn't really work.
on that note, i have ridden a SWD, not bad with the geometry. but holy brake jack batman. i've been spoiled.

but for a affordable steel frame, keep looking. most of the ones that are left, that are affordable. are bike heavy tanks.

Prices from Majin

our price is 200.000 chilean pesos which at the moment works out to around
390usd (earlier references to 300usd price were before the dollar started
losing value) this includes powdercoat (basic colors) and extra derailleur
hanger, in standard headtube and either 135qr or 135/12mm thru configurations
with standard bb shell.
optionals are:

25usd for onepointfive headtube (externally milled for less weight)
and 20usd for shock hardware (need to specify what shock) and 20usd for 83mm
bb shell for use with 150mm rear end ( rear end alone at same price as standard).
normally shipping to the US is around 90usd depending on zip code.

Could be a fun bike to build
