Default El Ciclon vs. 5 Spot

Has anybody out there ridden both of these bikes? Can you help explain the differences in ride quality? I'm looking to buy one or the other this week. Help is appreciated - thanks!

They're both very similar. A little better rear tire clearance on the Turner. If you're willing to pay, Ventana can customize the geometry.

I haven't ridden both, but what I can tell you is the Turner is an awesome ride, my 08 with the 09 Fox float rlc with the 15mil qr is a great ride. Good luck with your purchase.

Have you ridden either one yet? Do you know what size you need? If you are having a hard time picking between the two, check out sizing. They fit a little differently from each other, and one may fit you better than the other.

It may help that Turner Bikes are on sale right now in a lot of places, so if you are leaning towards the Spot you could save some bucks, or spend more on your build kit.

My brother's Five Spot is 4 years old and still going on strong. Takes a lot of abuse, and the frame still shows no sign of wear. Both are almost identical (in fact, I think Ventana copied Turner's design). If I were you, I would think about picking up a used Spot with the Horst link (newer ones are Faux bar) for a good price.
