The new 36 TALAS forks have 3 settings: 100mm, 130mm and 160mm. Nothing in between.

I have owned previous model year TALAS's and I think this is way better than the old 3mm per click system.

Yep I keep one as my backup fork...excellent fork.

I usually don't mind spending big money on bike parts but the price of high end forks seems be a tad too much. My latest fork a 2006 Zoke 66sl has been excellent...$225 off E-Bay, then $60 for Garage Works to rebuild it = new fork. Marzoccohi warranteed the wore out ATA cartridge, I think Zoke would charged me for the new cartridge but GW has a relationship with them.

I have been riding older Zokes for years with no problems, watching my friends Fox forks have to replace seals a couple times a year.

I have been a faithful marzocchi user, but my last build I bought the 09 talas 36 and I am a very happy boy!! the three clicks on the talas adjust is awsome.

the travel adjust is so smooth you almost think it is not working cause it does not drop immediatley, like marzzochi tst, but then you look down and its shorter, its like a smooth hydraulic cylinder.

Marzocchi is like a hot rod, they can be frustrating as hell, somtimes unreliable, but when they work right they are the friggen awsome!

I say go with the talas 36 less adjustments and it's very easily dialed, k.i.s.s, I have not tryed the lyrik but not too excited about all the adjustments.

the fox 36 climbs well for what it is, if yer into climbing everything tell the weight weenies to buy the SID, or somthing.
