Ah Perfect.. I was bout to search and post for help on this "Ghost" issue too. :
Looks like I need cable housing too. The Interweb is Amazing! I was ready to take a hammer to my rear derailler.

I had the same issue...the culprit was just cable tension.

Ive seen this make grown men cry.
or make them unecessarily go and buy new casettes, chains, chainrings

Before you do all that get it all right - b-screw, proper housing lenght and the RIGHT shimano housing and, as important as all, the RIGHT ferrules as well.

Hey Mike

When did this start to happen. It was not ghost shifting when I had it, it was working great. I also don't remember the cable housing being that short either...weird.

Yeah I'd get a longer cable housing for that section. Also get a Sram 990 cassette just in case.
