I've got an XT cassette on a WTB laserdisc hub and I just noticed that it has about 3mm of side to side play in it. I pulled it apart, but didn't notice any broken or loose parts on the cassette, and the hub is fine. has this ever happened to anyone? I would ignore it, but it has recently affected shifting (and I'm getting some ghost shifting).

Any ideas?

i am not sure about the xt cassettes....but the sram ones have a little black ring that goes in between the big and medium sections.

i'm no techy....but thats my guess???

The laserdisc hub comes with a washer/spacer for the FH body behind the cassette. There will be play if you don't run this doodad.
