Default Anyone Have this problem with Hayes HFX-9

First of all I'm running Hayes HFX-9 hydraulic brakes.
It seems like every time i brake real hard the rotor starts to rub on the pad.
Ill re adjust it and the next time i brake its the same thing.
Any one have this problem or have a solution to fix this problem.
Thanks

Air in the system.Or One pad is not retracting which may be faulty caliper.

How would i narrow it down. My line doesn't feel spongy. It reacts right away when i pull it and they have sufficient braking power.
As far as the caliper how can i trouble shoot that.
Thanks for the quick reply.

try a drop of lube or two on the piston that is giving you problems.

Take the pads out of the caliper and squeeze the lever so the piston push out(not all the way though. Use some white lightning Clean Streak to clean off the sides of the pistons. Let it dry, then use some Tri Flow lube on the pistons and push them in and out using a tire lever and the brake lever. Dry it all with a rag and then reinstall pads.

After doing this make sure the caliper is centered well. You can do this by loosening the caliper bolts just enough so the caliper can move back and forth. Squeeze the brake lever(with the wheel in) and tighten each bolt alternately little by little. Spin the wheel and see if the rotor is centered, if not repeat the process. If this doesn't center it you may need to adjust it by eyesite and set the caliper where it should be.

If the rotor isn't straight you can straighten it with a big crescent wrench(or the Pakr disc straightening tool.
