Haha, I wish. My brain is still like lumpy oatmeal. I probably should just stayed home yesterday. Intregradriver was killing it going up the 3Bs though.
Chew, I love the low SS gears too. I'll put my 22T back on my SSpeed when I start doing long rides on that bike again. 32:21 ain't that bad though. Jeez, we should have a 'STR Zion' ride to celebrate our cheapo, heavy, steel Zion bikes. That green is tasty, I would have gotten one of those if they had any larges left.

You love it so much you were complaing about the SS all the way around the loop. "I am so tired. I am winded. That hurt."
I think you forgot one part for your SS:

I am jealous of people who ride with ear buds. They don't have to hear you bitch all the way up a hill.

I'd rather be climbing...

Chewy, we'll make it a 29er SS mini-lovefest for Brew's birthday bash. My poor 29er has been so lonely with all of my Traverse training.
You may want to PM "slashusc". He had to run a half link on his SS; it's worked out well for him so far.

going my speed since 1975

I have a Zion and a regular chain will work fine... no half links needed for either a 21 or a 22 rear cog. I have ran the sram chains, but now I have been having good luck with the FMF chain. Its super smooth and super quiet. Make sure you have the EBB pointing back and a little upward... that will give you the most slack. I ran into the same problem... but it led me to a few more beers before I figured it out.
If you are really desperate I guess I could count the links for the 22 gear... but don't let it get that far. Its set right now with a 21, for 22 I have to add a link.

so i made it work. It is crazy tight, but it works. NEW SS chain should stretch right? i pulled out the 2 links, and rotated the EBB as far back as it would go....
put the chain on, turned the crank to pull it onto all the teeth and whammo! it is on! I think i will still do the half link to get the tension a little bit less, and to get the EBB pointed straight down... or maybe i will man up and buy a 21 tooth! LOL
