Default Reba Air Leak

So the last time I took my Reba out for a ride I started with 100mm of travel and ended up with a front end 100mm lower and 0 travel. (Much to my surprise I kinda liked the quicker front end but thats another story).

Since the fork broke I have been riding a Fox 29er. While I love the stiffness and geo of the Fox, the Reba has a wonderful linear feel to it and I ACTUALLY feel like I get most of the travel. (Unlike the Fox)

So, its an 05 Reba 29er so warranty is not an option. I could either have the internal seals replaced between the + and - chamber or convert it to a oil/coil.

I've read the conversion process costs about $100, I suspect the leakage fix wont be too far off that??

Anyone who has had there Reba internals replace or repaired have any opinions on what I should do?

Does PUSH rebuild these? I think they do. Maybe you should just get a new one and sell that one to me for $100.

Have you checked the oil level in the upper chamber?

If you don't keep 3-5ml of oil in the chamber, your air seal won't work properly.

If you're near Lake Forest, you can bring it by and I'll take a look at it for you. Even changing the o-ring only takes about 15 minutes.

Actually my new buddy Eric Foltz helped me out Sunday.

So far it's holding air nicely. I plan to take it on the dirt tomorrow.

Thank you so much Eric for your time and help.

What a cool thread... Mountain bikers are cool people! Where else would you find camaraderie like this?
