Changing oil in a Speedball R

Hi All

Has anyone had any experience in changing, actually replaceing, the oil in Speedball R seatpost. The main seal retainer from my post loosened itself up over time and yesterday when I went to lower it, out came all the oil through the top seal.

I've done plenty of regular maintenance on the post itself and I can't seem to find anywhere that expains/tells the viscosity of the oil. I'm assuming by feel that it's close to regular shock oil, but I don't want to chance it and ruin the valve.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

Check with Maverick and if that don't work try Crank Bros. They bought the rights to the Speedball 'R'.
